African Wonder Women Organisation CIC is set to host the 12th edition of its monthly, “Every Emotion is Valid”seminar on Sunday, March 26, 2023.
Founded to serve widows and marginalised African women, following the death of the founder’s husband during the Covid-19 pandemic, The “Every Emotion is Valid” seminar began on February 13, 2022 and has since been held as a monthly virtual seminar, to provide a safe space for healing, learning about healthy ways of managing emotions without guilt or pressure, as well as advocate against the injustices faced by African Widows. Themed, “#EmbraceEquity: An Emotional Wellness Approach”, in Line With International Women’s Day 2023 Theme – #EmbraceEquity, the seminar aims to celebrate women’s achievements and raise awareness about addressing the unmet needs in women’s mental health while advocating to drive gender equity.
The Convener, Princess Folaji Fasanya-Omoyeni, Serial Entrepreneur, STEM Woman and Transformation and Confidence Coach, while speaking on behalf of AWWOrgCIC said, “We believe that through the different segments of the seminar, women will be celebrated and the unmet emotional wellness needs of women will be spotlighted and solutions proffered.

MEET THE SPEAKERS 

Mercy G

Mercy G has 23 yrs working within the sector, and specialising in Mental Health. Through a series of steps of faith, experience and knowledge acquisition, she has partnered with local authorities and our Trusts/ Clinical Commissioning Groups.

Over the last 15 years, Mercy has overseen the management of high-end mental health Care Quality Commissioners (CQC), Supported Housing services and Advocacy Services in a range of geographical boroughs including Camden,  Islington, Westminster, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Lewisham, Greenwich, Ealing, Hackney and Crowthorne.

She is embarking on a new journey, as she am in her 3rd year of a BSc (Hons) in Health & Social Care as well as making new career choices particularly in the area of setting up her own company.

Mercy is also delving into performing arts and entertainment as a singer/songwriter, aspiring actress, MC and event Host as well as developing and delivering bespoke Mental Health Awareness Training/Workshops.

Having mentored and coached many to reach their professional/career ambitions, she endeavors to continue to be an Inspirational Speaker.

 

Lydia Mungai

Lydia Mungai is a Life Coach, Mentor, Inspirational Speaker, Content Creator Entrepreneur and International Development Specialist. She is  a mother of two young adults 23 and 20yrs olds who are her highest calling and responsibility.
She is also a mentor to thousands of other young adults and peers. She passionate about positive change and impact in people’s lives, inspiring others to live a

Feyi Ayodele

Feyi Ayodele is a Trauma-Informed Domestic Abuse & Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Coach and Training Consultant. She is a certified life coach and Master NLP practitioner.
Feyi founded The Nurtured Woman, a private coaching and consulting practice. She provides therapeutic family court support to survivors and develops Narcissistic Abuse, Domestic Abuse, Wellness and Healthy Relationship related training programmes.

The integration of first-hand life experience of narcissistic abuse, plus professional technical skills and professional therapeutic training qualifications have enabled Feyi to provide practical,
exceptional services to private and corporate clients.
In January 2020, Feyi was a Guest Speaker at a Domestic Abuse Symposium alongside the first and current Domestic Abuse Commissioner for England and Wales, Nicole Jacobs and professionals from other national domestic abuse agencies in the UK, Safelives and Women’s Aid.

Feyi is a Project Manager, Transformative Facilitator and she delivers workshops and training sessions online and in-person to professionals and individual groups.
