ABOUT THE EVENT

In celebration of Black History Month 2022, African Wonder Women Organisation CIC (AWWOrg) is holding an emotional well-being seminar that focuses on men’s mental health.

Men cry too. There is the acknowledgement that, while talking things through may sometimes be ineffective therapy for some men who have experienced trauma, for many, it is very helpful. More so, if it is done in a ‘safe place’ where conversations can be had as a means of trying to rescue those who may have survived trauma, but need to speak out or truly heal.

Bereavement and trauma affects us all differently and the healing process is both unique and personal.

This seminar will helps us explore the power of expressing our emotions, to appreciate that it’s okay not to be okay and that indeed “Every Emotion Is Valid”. It also, also allows us discover strategies to manage unhealthy emotions, strengthen positive relationships and boost our mental health and well-being.

I am an ambitious and motivated lifelong learner. My purpose and passion are personal growth and development. I am energised by learning and sharing what I have learned with others who may also benefit.

Helping people find their motivation and meaning in life, rethinking assumptions, and living a more creative and generous life excites me.

In my professional capacity, I assist organisations to increase productivity and growth by enhancing their processes, systems, and people through change management and continuous improvement.

In March 2020, my life changed forever. Chidinma, my wife, confidant, and best friend, passed away after a brief illness. We had two young children, aged 2 years and 5 months at the time.
